Sunday 19th May – Cookridge 10k

Belated report prompted by the publication of the latest RoY table!
This was the first running of a trail/off-road race on my doorstep, so I decided to give it a go to see what’s what and support the local community. Although the organisation was perhaps understandably a wee bit haphazard it was a fun race on a great course, and it had a friendly, community feel to it. I’ll certainly give it another go next year.
Ciairan Forde won it in 34:25. I was 6th (and 1st MV45) in 38:55. Peter Gosling finished 60th in 51:29. Mrs G and our two boys took part in the fun run too, and even made the Yorkshire Evening Post website!

Well done to Mrs G. and the two boys for doing the short distance . Also well done to Rob G. for finishing the Cookridge 10k in a fast 38.55 . V60 Peter G. did a strong race finishing in a nice 51.29.
