Junior Training Sessions

Joining Otley A.C. Juniors

We charge £25 per term per child to cover the cost of venues and equipment. This also includes Otley A.C. membership and a license to compete in UK athletics events. Non-members are welcome to try a couple of sessions before committing.

Training Sessions

6-15 years 

Term time Mondays, 6:15pm – 7:30pm

Venue: Sports Hall of Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley. Outside on the playing field in spring and summer  map

What to Wear

Loose fitting sports clothing such as t-shirts and shorts or tracksuit bottoms. A good pair of trainers. Light waterproof jacket for outdoor sessions if it is raining. Don’t forget to bring some water to drink as well!

What Will We Do?

Training will be in running (sprints, hurdles, fell running, cross country), jumps (long jump, high jump, triple jump) and throws (javelin, shot put, hammer, discus)

Sprint Sessions

10-15 years

Term time Wednesdays 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Venue: Sports Hall of Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley map

What to Wear

Loose fitting sports clothing such as t-shirts and shorts or tracksuit bottoms. A good pair of trainers. Light waterproof jacket if it is raining. Don’t forget to bring some water to drink as well!

Parents and Children Runs

Term time Saturday mornings starting at 9am on the Chevin

Venue: Chevin Danefield, lower left hand car park (leaving Otley), East Chevin Road map

Distance: 1.5-2 miles lasting about 30 minutes

    It comes as a text download, rather than a webpage, that you print out. I think Hugh keeps copies with the register, so we can just sort it on next Monday if you’d like.
