2023 Eric Smith Trophy winner Ceit got off to a cracking start this year, winning the first handicap. She held on to first place after battling it out with Kate Lodge in the final mile. Report from Paul Tranter. The most important thing to report from the Yorkshire Trail Runs on Saturday is that it was sunny. Very sunny! Clear blue skies and relatively dry underfoot. No floods or water features. The runs are organised by Wild Deer Events and there were three race distances on offer; 5k, 10k and half marathon.
