Race report Matt Podd

I’m a fan of the Due North Trail Half Marathon series – 3 races centred around the south of the Dales. This year I’m trying to do all three and be a series winner. I did this race last year with Emma H, but today I was
the only OAC participant. On the way over I met Matt and Steve at Ilkley petrol shop on their way to bring glory to the club in the Three Peaks relay. Really, they should have put on their ‘Big Boy’ pants and done the whole thing!
Good conditions for running and a lovely route – Wharfedale at its finest. Didn’t fall over and generally enjoyed myself especially overtaking folk on the second half. This is my last race before some minor marathon that may go through Otley! No medal or T shirt, but pies and beer; much more to my liking.
