Race 3 of the 2025 Eric Smith Trophy is the Esholt Handicap, a 5 mile route starting next to the disused water treatment works at Esholt, a mixture of road & track, including 1.5 miles on the canal. The track just after the start can have some large puddles. which you can usually get round.

The route will be marked with flour arrows, note there is a little short cut footpath we take in the village about half a mile from the finish,

Please do not park near the start, you should be able to find some where on the road down to the start or the road down near the railway bridge.

First off at 11.00 am everyone else at intervals afterwards. Post race inquest will be held in the Woolpack.
