Lothersdale Fell Race. Wednesday 8th May
Race Report Matt Podd
A short evening race from a lovely village up to the Trigpoint on Pinhaw Beacon. 5.4km and 180m of ascent. Five of us Black and Whites turnedmup to register outside the Pub and join the throng. Big turnout from Fell and Dale.
Off we went up the narrow track out of the village through the fields and then down into a dip with concrete farm tracks. Up out of it and onto the moor to climb to the Trig and then back down the same way. All a bit fast and furious, with the leaders having to slalom around the field on their descent.
Very friendly and low key and all for £4! So back to Otley for fish and chips. Special mention goes to Harry who cycled there – and hopefully back.
