Sunday 22nd October – Abbey Dash

It was another run out with my lad as part of our ‘10k Trilogy’ (Bradford 10k, Leeds 10k and Abbey Dash) and it was another first-time event for the both of us, although I’d obviously heard about it prior. I’m guessing that most of the Club members will have either taken part in the event at some point or will be familiar with the specifics of the event…. As first-time runners me and my lad really enjoyed ourselves, there was good support from the large crowds on what was quite a fresh morning, there was a noticeable cloud of exhaled breath hovering over the entirety of the route! The route was similar to the Bradford 10K in that it was out, turnaround and back. The event was well organised as was to be expected. I managed to catch up with a few of the Club members on the morning during the event as well as at the end. A flat run resulted in decent finishing times too. All in all, it was a great morning out!

A good short report from Leeds by Sean H. who also had a robust performance , Sean crossed the finish line of this popular 10K in a quick 40 .21 , Daniel too run strongly in 41.07 . Emma H. had a super 10k finishing in a fast 44.28 , Isabel as well had a good steady run in 57.00 . Well done all .
