Tuesday 21st June – Solstice Saunter Bolton Abbey

Tuesday 21st June – Solstice Saunter Bolton Abbey

Report from Tash Whittaker I was a bit nervous as I set off for Bolton Abbey in 22 degree heat especially as this was my first race since November.  However, it’s always good to travel to races with other club members to ease the anxieties and Laura, Nicola and Joanna who’d all done the race before assured me that it was worth it for the medal and the lovely scenery. Pre-race was smooth with quick number collection and relatively short toilet…

No we said, you should do it was the reply, its really good and I’m sure there are places left. So, we signed up! And,…

Saturday 18th June 2022 – Buckden Pike Fell Race

Distance 3.7 miles Elevation 1594ft After being well rested from Beamsley and Harrogate League and too tight to lose my entry fee I dragged my tired legs to Buckden to pit myself against the elite, this race was a British and English championship fell race and also a Yorkshire championship race, so what the hell was I thinking!!! Luckily their were a couple other Otley AC members daft enough to try. When I arrived the lady’s race had just finished,…
