Report from Richard Smith
I ran the Burton Leonard 10K today finishing 5th in 37:46. Lovely close knit village feel to the race on a warm, humid day and alas, a sense of normality again!
Runners were set off in waves and the course had a bit of everything from a stream crossing (I regretted that choice), country lanes, farm tracks, woods and fields. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and will be back again. Such a shame that the Black Sheep race series is no more. I saw Don Buffham before the race but no other Otley vests.
First finisher – Andy Grant Harrogate 36.34
First Lady – Sharon Barlow 39.46
For Otley:
Richard Smith 5th in 37.46
Don Buffham 185th 1.11.10
228 ran

Well done! Sounds like a lovely trip out
I agree with Tamara W. that you did a strong race . Burton Leonard 10k used to be a very popular race with our club with several of our members attending this undulated 10k , also myself I have done it a couple of times and the stream crossing was an issue to resolve also 20 years ago . Well done to Richard S. who did a splendid performance finishing in 37.46 , and also to my friend Don B. who did really well finishing with a brilliant 1.11 .
